This volume represents a continuing effort to cover comprehensively the unclasslfied information on explosives and related subjects in the same mann er & format as in previous volumes. The reader .is urged to obtain the prevlous volumes and co read borh the PREFACE & INTRODUCTION ln Volume 1 in order ro understand the authors' way of presenting the subject matter. In the preparation for and the writing of this Encyclopedia, the authors have consulted freely with and have had the cooperation of many individuals who have contributed their expert knowledge.
